Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the Quietell website, checkout, license activation service, and software updates. By purchasing or using Quietell you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Software & licenses
Quietell is licensed, not sold. Each paid license allows activation on up to 3 Windows devices unless stated otherwise at checkout. You may deactivate a device in Settings to free a seat. Keep your license key confidential.
3. Plans
Free: limited cloud transcription with your own Groq API key. Cloud: one-time purchase, full cloud workflow features. Pro: one-time purchase, includes private on-device transcription. Feature details are shown on the pricing page and in the app.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to abuse the service, share or resell license keys, reverse-engineer license enforcement, or use Quietell unlawfully. We may suspend licenses for abuse or fraud.
5. Purchases
Quietell (Barak Avreki) is the seller of every license - not a reseller. Payments are processed by PayPal as our payment processor only; PayPal never acts as merchant of record. Where required (EU/UK), the price shown at checkout already includes VAT. Refunds: see our Refund Policy.
6. Availability
The licensing service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. The desktop app is designed to continue working for a grace period if the server is temporarily unavailable.
7. Disclaimer
Quietell is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee transcription accuracy for every file or language. You remain responsible for professional, legal, or compliance obligations in your field. Quietell is not legal or medical advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
